Elaine Y. Kim advises clients in a variety of matters, particularly in relation to cutting-edge technology and evolving regulatory frameworks around data privacy law. An avid researcher, Elaine has experience with intellectual property law and international technology policy, including semiconductor industry policy, crypto asset compliance, and emerging legal challenges in artificial intelligence. She has performed comparative policy analyses and, with native fluency in Korean, provided multilingual translation and review in areas such as licensing agreements and international contracts.
While earning her law degree, Elaine clerked at the firm as well as at leading law firms in South Korea. She was also a student attorney at the Boston College Entrepreneurship & Innovation Clinic.
Prior to pursuing a career in law, Elaine held positions as Director of Community Affairs and subsequently as Budget Director for the New York City Council.
